This week, as the high street came back to life with visitors and residents returning to enjoy the shops, outside hospitality, beauty services, and indoor health facilities. It’s a memorable week for those who have been closed for some time.
Our Welcome Back’ campaign for Visit Southampton launched with a reopening marketing targeting local residents and workers, encouraging them to come back to the city centre and reminding them it’s a safe place to visit.
The campaign will be promoted through advertising in physical/digital publications, organic/paid social media, regular newsletters as well as advertising on digital screens within the city centre and on the Red Funnel ferries.
To support this a complimentary campaign for Retail and Leisure businesses was created with digital assets for all to use. ‘We’re SO Open’ is for partners, stakeholders and businesses to help amplify the reopening messaging and share on web, social and email.
We have created two versions, a lighter ‘daytime’ version and a darker ‘nighttime’ version which will be more fitting for the night-time economy/hospitality venues.
