ARC- The Alresford Rugby Club
ARC- Perhaps the phrase ‘grassroots’ ‘ was invented for rugby? From youngling to adult(lings)s, they all at some point get covered in grass, mud, and sometimes other things! But what a sport.
Occupying the purpose built pitches at Arlebury Park, cementing their position in the heart of the Alresford community. The ARC thrives on enthusiasm, dedication and no little talent.
The 1st XV reached Hampshire 1 in 2004. In the same season, the club managed to reach the semi-finals of the Hampshire Plate.
The 2nd XV has also gone from strength to strength too, with greater numbers of players coming to the club, and has now entered the Hampshire Merit Table.
More recently a regular Veteran XV has been fielded and a regular touring side as well as establishing a strong Mini Rugby section.
